DC reviews functioning of Revenue Department in Poonch
DODA, APRIL 04: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh today chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for the launch of district-wide Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign on April 7, 2025 under the Nasha Mukti Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan.

The campaign, aimed at combating drug abuse, will initially start in 17 panchayats, and cover all 237 panchayats and educational institutions in the district during the current year.
The meeting was attended by DPO S-Parmjeet Singh, ASP Headquarters Shakeel Ahmed Bhatt, ACD Manoj Kumar and officers from other stakeholder departments.
The campaign will be supervised by the designated Nodal Officer and will focus on community awareness, youth engagement, and sensitization programs. It will involve the participation of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), students, ASHA workers and civil society members.
Awareness rallies, camps, cultural events, and interactive sessions will be organized to inform the public about the harmful effects of drug addiction and encourage them to opt for a healthy lifestyle. Campaign badges were also launched after the meeting to promote community involvement.
The DC urged all stakeholders to work in coordination to ensure the success of the campaign. He emphasized the need for maximum participation, especially in rural and vulnerable areas, to make Doda a drug-free and aware district.
