DC reviews implementation of PM Vishwakarma Scheme in Kishtwar district
Asks Stakeholders to carry out registration on mission mode
KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 15: In a proactive move towards fostering skill development and entrepreneurial growth among artisans, craftsmen, and traditional workers, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav today chaired a comprehensive meeting to review the implementation of PM Vishwakarma scheme.
The meeting aimed to evaluate and propel the effective implementation of the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme within the district.
The meeting, dedicated to ensuring the seamless execution of the scheme, focused on identifying and addressing challenges that may hinder its successful implementation.
Acknowledging the relatively low registration of Vishwakarmas in the district, the DC emphasized the involvement of BDOs and EO MC to bolster registrations, ensuring that no eligible individual is overlooked.
Addressing the identified bottlenecks, Dr. Yadav urged the District Coordinator, CSC, to streamline a more accessible and user-friendly registration process, ensuring inclusivity and ease for the marginalized Vishwakarma community.
He further directed all stakeholders to provide regular action taken reports for continual monitoring and assessment of the scheme’s progress.
Underlining the importance of sensitization and awareness campaigns, the DC stressed the necessity of ensuring that every eligible artisan and craftsman benefits from this transformative scheme.
Dr. Devansh Yadav highlighted the scheme’s role in empowering skilled labor and preserving traditional crafts, emphasizing the collective responsibility of all stakeholders for its successful execution, contributing significantly to regional economic development.
The meeting witnessed the presence of GM DIC Mohamad Ashraf,ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, LDM Pankaj Badani,EO Municipal Council Ninad Sen, representatives from CSC, among others, demonstrating a collective commitment to the success of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
