DC reviews implementation of PM Vishwakarma Scheme in Udhampur District

  UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 30: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex to assess the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma scheme in the district.

The meeting was attended by BDC Chairman Jeevan Sharma, GM DIC Pankaj Anand, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, SDMs, and other officers.

At the onset, GM DIC Pankaj Anand provided a comprehensive overview of the scheme, outlining its objectives and detailing the progress in the district. He informed out of 500 registered cases, 39 cases have been approved at the district level Committee after second-level verification.

Emphasizing the need for concerted efforts, the DC urged officers to identify and register targeted beneficiaries promptly. Stressing the significance of PM Vishwakarma scheme in uplifting traditional artisans/crafts people, the DC instructed the officers to conduct an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign with the support of PRIs to raise awareness about the scheme among the people.
