DC reviews implementation of PMUY scheme in District Doda
DODA, NOVEMBER 02: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh on Thursday reviewed the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) scheme here at a meeting of stakeholder departments held in the DC office .
CPO Doda briefed the chair about the impact & outcome of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) which was launched in 2016 in the country.
During the threadbare discussion, the DC directed the members of coordinator (DNO) to come up with the details of non official members of the national Implementation Committee of PM, VishwaKarma Scheme (Member of PMUY) to go ahead as per the prescribed guidelines.
While discussing the focus/ target group of the scheme, the chairman advised for its wide publicity through distributors located in far flung areas of the district.
The DC directed to organise awareness programs at village level to educate the eligible applicants about the supporting documents required for availing the benefit of the scheme and to protect the unsuspecting beneficiaries from exploitation of vested interest people.
The Chairman PMUY directed that all the distributors shall submit the category wise total number of beneficiaries already covered in the district under the scheme.
“It being a hilly district with poor road connectivity, the scale and speed of implementation of the scheme can be achieved only through better coordination of government system, distributors and banking system” he maintained.
The meeting was attended by ADC, ACD, Dy. Director Employment, CPO, Member Coordinator, HPCL, officials of FCS & CA department and others.
