DC reviews Maha Shivratri festival arrangements in Udhampur

  UDHAMPUR, MARCH 4: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting in the Mini Conference Hall  of DC Office Complex Udhampur to review the arrangements for the upcoming Maha Shivratri festival.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Additional SP Baljit Singh, and other senior officers from various departments.

Detailed discussion were held on the arrangements for adequate drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply, cleanliness, sanitation, security, Medicare facilities and deployment of fire tenders.

Assigning different tasks to stakeholder departments, the DC directed concerned heads to make all necessary arrangements in advance to avoid inconvenience to the people. She emphasized proper sanitation around temples, on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.

The DC instructed Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and PDD to ensure augmentation of drinking water and uninterrupted power supply. She stressed the importance of collective efforts from all stakeholders to facilitate a spiritually enriching Maha Shivratri celebration.
