DC reviews preparation for JK UT Foundation Day Celebration in Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, October 27: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today reviewed preparation for the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JK UT) Foundation Day celebration here at a meeting of District and Sectoral Officers.
The meeting, held in VC Room of DC Office, which was attended by ACR, Varunjeet Charak; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; PO ICDS/CEO KDA, Dr. Rishi Sharma; DySP DAR Sajjad Khan; Tehsildar, CEO, CMO, DIO, CHO, CAO, BDO HQ, and Officers from CRPF, among others.
The deliberations primarily centered on the arrangements and the varied activities slated for the UT Foundation Day celebrations.
The Chief Education Officer was entrusted with the responsibility of organising different events involving the students. It was informed that schools would host plantation drives and painting, essay writing and debate competitions.
CMO and PO ICDS Kishtwar were directed to jointly host a “Health cum Poshan Mela” at all Anganwadi Centers and Health and Wellness Centres.
The SSP Kishtwar was asked to organise a Marathon, March Past, and Pledge on the Day.
The Rural Development Department was directed to involve PRIs in holding Panchayat level events. The designated venues for these celebrations will be Health and Wellness Centers (HWC) or Panchayat Ghars.
Additionally, the meeting decided that Char Chinar Kishtwar will be the main venue for the District Level event.
The event would feature a mega cultural programme in collaboration with the JK Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages.
NRLM and other relevant departments were instructed to set up stalls at the District-level function. DSWO Kishtwar and AD Employment Kishtwar will ensure the distribution of scooters and vehicles under the Mumkin scheme.
The Employment Department will raise awareness about the AVSAR scheme designed for unemployed youth.
DYSSO Kishtwar was also directed to organize a friendly cricket match.
