DC reviews preparedness for Lok Sabha Election 2024 at Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 11: District Election Officer, Udhampur, Saloni Rai, reviewed the preparedness of the stakeholder departments for the General Elections at a meeting held in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex, here today.
The meeting brought together Nodal Officers, Returning Officers (ROs), district-level and assembly-level master trainers to assess the readiness for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Deputy District Election Officer Anirudh Rai, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, and other Nodal Officers.
The crucial aspects were meticulously discussed, including the Model Code of Conduct, EVMs/VVPATs, law and order, training management, expenditure monitoring, media communication, transport management, helpline, complaints and redressal, Election Seizure Monitoring System, PWD voters, SVEEP activities, and randomization of polling staff.
The DEO emphasised the importance of effective coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the smooth, fair, and inclusive conduct of the electoral process, upholding the integrity of democratic exercise. DEO directed all Nodal officers to complete their allotted tasks on time and maintain cooperation and coordination with each other.
Comprehensive guidance regarding duties and responsibilities during the election period was provided to all Nodal Officers and designated personnel.
