DC reviews progress of holistic Agriculture Development Plan in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, October 14: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai presided over a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the progress made under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan in the Udhampur District.
The meeting, attended by officers from various allied departments, took place at the Mini Conference Hall in the DC Office Complex, Udhampur.
At the onset, Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand provided an overview of the achievements made under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan within the district. In-depth discussions were held, covering several crucial aspects such as the plan’s implementation, approval of beneficiaries for individual and group activities, establishment of connections with banks and financial institutions for beneficiaries, convergence of activities under HADP, physical and financial progress, the status of the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, and the receipt of online applications.
while Addressing the meeting, the DC emphasized that the HADP initiative represents a significant stride in establishing a robust and profitable agricultural ecosystem. She urged banks to expedite the sanctioning and disbursement of loans to support farmers in their agricultural endeavors. The Deputy Commissioner also called upon officers from various departments to ensure the effective implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan within their respective domains, ensuring that farming communities can reap the benefits of these schemes.
The DC stressed the importance of promptly approving loans under agriculture and other allied department schemes. The DC emphasis on expeditious loan sanctioning reflects a proactive approach to meeting the financial needs of farmers and enhancing their well-being. She urged the concerned officers to analyze cases of rejected applications from farmers and encouraged them to conduct awareness programs.
