DC reviews progress of Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in Rajouri

RAJOURI, July 08: To bolster the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to assess the progress of the projects.

Stressing the significance of providing clean drinking water to the rural communities, the DC called for the ensuring quality work, timely completion of projects, and diligent supervision to ensure the successful execution of the JJM schemes.

With 293 JJM schemes approved, the work on 201 schemes is in progress, the laying of pipe networks has been making headway, with 1006 kilometers already laid against the target of 13520 kilometers, the meeting was informed.

 To expedite the completion of the remaining schemes, the DC urged officers to adopt a results-driven approach and adhere strictly to timelines.

The meeting was a testament to Rajouri’s unwavering commitment towards implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission effectively, ensuring that rural areas have access to safe and adequate drinking water. With focused efforts and dedicated work, the mission is well on its way to realization, promising a healthier and happier life for the region’s populace.
