DC Samba discusses arrangements for Baba Sidh Goria Nath Ji Mela with Temple Committee

SAMBA, May 13: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, today held a meeting with the temple committee of Baba Sidh Goria Nath Ji in Swankha to discuss the arrangements for the upcoming Sidh Goria Nath Mela, which is scheduled to be organized in month of June-July 2023.

The preliminary meeting was attended by Mahant Bola Nath Ji, Manohar Lal from the temple management committee, Tirath Ram Sarpanch, Tehsildar Ramgarh, BDO Ramgarh, and others.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed various aspects of the mela, including security arrangements, medical facilities, traffic management, and sanitation. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the event is organized smoothly and with the utmost safety measures in place. The temple committee members expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for his proactive approach in ensuring the success of the religious event.

The Sidh Goria Nath Mela is a significant annual religious and cultural event attracting thousands of devotees and tourists. The local  PRI members hailed the DC’s involvement in the planning and execution of the event which is a testament to the government’s commitment to promoting and preserving the region’s rich cultural heritage.
