DC Samba presides over Weekly Block Diwas Programme in Rajpura

SAMBA, JULY 10: The Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, led the Weekly Block Diwas programme held today in Rajpura.
This event drew a significant number of residents from the Gaghwal subdivision, including former PRI members, who gathered to express their concerns and demands.
Several key officials attended the programme, including the DDC member, Asha Rani, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gaghwal, Sunaina Saini, Tehsildar Rajpura, Karanjeet Singh, Block Development Officer Rajpura, Shivali Choudhary and officers from various line departments.


Residents highlighted numerous issues affecting their daily lives during the interaction. Key concerns raised included compensation for Defence ditch land, land bandobasts, the opening of legal mining stone crushers, minimising electricity cuts during the paddy season, repairing lane drains, fixing the air conditioning in the library at Panchayat Ghar Rajpura, establishing a KV School in Rajpura, desilting the irrigation canal, repairing the boundary wall at GMS Rajpura, and other critical public issues.
Deputy Commissioner Sharma assured the gathering that their concerns would be promptly addressed. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to resolving these issues and improving the quality of life for the people of Rajpura. Additionally, he shared insights on HADP and Kissan Sampark Abhiyan and suggested that residents take advantage of online agricultural training videos.


Simultaneous Block Diwas programmes were also organized at Block Nud and Ramgarh to redress the grievances of the general public.
