DC Shopian reviews implementation of PMAY-U

SHOPIAN, JANUARY, 03: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, who is also chairman of the District Level Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of the Housing for All (Urban) Mission, convened a meeting today to assess the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)-Urban in the district here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian.

The meeting focused on evaluating the physical and financial status of sanctioned PMAY-Urban cases, ensuring adherence to guidelines and strategizing to cover all eligible beneficiaries.

CEO MC Shopian apprised that out of 477 housing units to be constructed in the Shopian Town, 360 units have been completed till date and remaining 117 are under construction.

An amount of 688 lacs have been released to 474 beneficiaries till date.

The DC directed the concerned officers to expedite the completion of all pending housing units within time.

ACR, CPO, DSEO, CEO, Project Officer, District Urban Dev. Agency and other concerned attended the meeting.
