DC, SSP Doda pay tributes to Martyr Firdous Ahmed

DODA, AUGUST 03: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, and SSP Doda, Javaid Iqbal, paid tribute to martyr Late Firdous Ahmed, a resident of Sadiqabad, Doda, who was martyred in 2001 while serving as a Special Police Officer (SPO) in the Police Department Doda.


In a touching ceremony, DC Doda, Sh. Harvinder Singh, and SSP Doda, Sh. Javaid Iqbal, presented a shawl to the parents of the martyr, who were present at the occasion.


This heartfelt gesture honored the supreme sacrifice of Late Firdous Ahmed and highlighted the community’s respect and gratitude for his service.


The tribute was part of the ongoing celebration of the Swachhta Pakhwada Sangram event, which is being celebrated across the district to promote cleanliness and hygiene. The event includes various activities aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of a clean environment, involving local communities, schools, and governmental departments.


In addition to paying tribute to the martyr, the Swachhta Pakhwada Sangram celebrations feature cleanliness drives, educational programs, and the installation of dustbins in public spaces. The initiative encourages citizens to actively participate in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper waste disposal, thereby contributing to a healthier and more hygienic environment.
