DC visits Indian Army’s Administered Chinar 9 Jawan Club Baramulla
Admin prioritizing Skill Devtt for enhancing employability of Youth: Dr Sehrish
BARAMULLA, January 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad today paid visit to vocational training centre, Chinar 9 Jawan Club Baramulla which is administered by the Indian Army.
The visit was aimed to take stock of several necessities and facilities available in the club.
It is worth mentioning here that Chinar 9 Jawan Club Baramulla is a vocational training centre established under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wherein several skill development courses like Hospitality, Retail, Fashion Designing, Music, Art, Computers etc are being imparted to the youth.
On the occasion, the DC interacted with the trainees and enquired about different facilities and amenities that are provided to them. During the interaction, the trainees shared their on ground exposure with which they are being acquainted.
Meanwhile, the instructors of the vocational club apprised the DC about different programmes and courses currently being imparted to the enthusiastic aspirants of the district.
After taking a thorough inspection, the DC complimented the young aspirants who are currently enrolled in the club and said that upscaling skill development among our youth have been one of the top most priority of the present dispensation.
She said that several initiatives are being taken by the district administration which aims to provide a conducive and suitable environment for the young entrepreneurs so that they can become job providers rather than job seekers.
Urging the youth to come forward and avail benefits from such centres, Dr Sehrish added that skill development courses in the contemporary circumstances is the viable option to enhance employability in the current job market.
