DCPU-Mission Vatsalya organize CBP at Sumbal Bandipora
BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 27: District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Mission Vatsalya Bandipora today organised training cum capacity building programme (CBP) on Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015, POCSO Act 2012, Adoption Regulations, and child rights at Dak-Bangloow Sumbal, here.
The program was attended by DDC member Tahir ul Qadri, DDC member Ghulam Nabi Ambar, Chairperson/Members from CWC, JJB and DCPU officials, CHL officials, officials from Education Department, ICDS, Health, Labour Department, SJPUs, representatives from DLSA, NGOs, Traders, Transporters, Civil Society Members, BLCPCs, VLCPCs, representatives from Village Level Child Protection Committee and other concerned stakeholders.
During the program, various speakers highlighted the crucial role and responsibilities of stakeholders in ensuring the effective implementation of these Acts and encouraged active participation.
Earlier, Gowhar Mahmood Protection Officer NIC delivered the introductory speech on the structure of Mission Vatsalya besides explaining the importance of the programme and gave a detailed description of the topic and its working mechanism at the district level.
Detailed discussions were held on rescue and rehabilitation operations for vulnerable child labourers.
The facilitators discussed case studies, group work and role playing to make the program engaging and enriching for the participants.
Speakers highlighted the role of CWC/ JJB/ SJPU and other line departments.
Asmat Quansar, Legal Officer delivered a speech on Adoption Regulations.
On the occasion, certificates of participation were distributed to acknowledge the active involvement of the participants in the programme.
