DDC Anantnag presided over Kisan Sampark Abhiyaan
ANANTNAG April 26: District Development Commissioner Anantnag Dr Basharat Qayoom along with his team of district officers today visited the Block Shangus and preside over the weekly held Block Diwas at panchayat halqa Brariangan of shangus block.
BDC chairman Talib Hussain while presenting the developmental scenario of the area said that a lot has been done with respect to overall development of the block and more is a requirement for a developing society.
He raised some demands and issues of the area viz permanent water supply for Brariangan and adjacent areas, Digging of more borewells, augmentation of WWS lehanwan, Halan road construction, etc.
The PRI members and local auqaf representatives also spoke on the occasion and raised some local demand like Additional patwari for halqa Brariangan, issuance of ration card to new households, rationalisation of teaching staff in schools of shangus block, regular visit of agriculture, horticulture, Animal Husbandry experts for early identification of any disease besides technical guidance to farmers, scheduled power supply, Jk Bank branch, clearance of FRA cases etc. concerned sectoral heads presented detailed responses to the demands raised.

Chief Agriculture officer Anatnag Aijaz Hussain Dar apprised the DDC about the Kisan sampark Abhiyaan and said that this is a farmer orientation and skill development programme aimed at providing training to farmers about 29 projects and awareness about 16 centrally sponsored schemes at 394 Venues in 16 blocks besides displaying audio, video visuals of the project.
Through Holistic agriculture department programme participants will have the opportunity to learn about innovative farming techniques and technologies, he added.
A progressive farmer of mushroom cultivation of the area share his success story and experience and support by the agriculture department and he appealed the people to come forward and avail the benefits of schemes to become self-reliable.
DDC while speaking on the occasion said that the Kisan sampark Abhiyaan is farmer centric programme and will continue for three months with 29 agri and allied components in all blocks of district and farmers will be provided every possible technical, financial support from soil testing till Post harvesting.
He stressed upon the officers to be at forefront for redressal of people’s problem.
DC assured the beneficiaries of FRA that cases will be cleared and directed the concerned committee to clear the cases at panchayat level and at block level immediately.
He urged farmers for mass participation to avail the benefits of HADP and exhorted upon the officers of agriculture and allied sectors to train and educate farmers about the programme.
Talking to media DC said that weekly held Block Diwas yields good results and mass participation witnessed is the trust people have on the Administration and it’s outreach program.

Latter DC inspected the ongoing works of jal Shakti at krad, dethu, issues, Wangam etc and directed the Xen Jalshakti for early completion of these WSS besides quality checks and directed the contractor concerned for enhancing manpower.
DC was accompanied by SE Hydraulic, CAO, CHO CAHO, CSHO, Joint director planning, Xen R&B vialoo, Xen Jalshakti Bijbehara, BDO, Tehsildar, BMO, A.E.Es of concerned divisions besides the officials of line departments and large number of people.
