DDC Budgam inspects ongoing Drainage work at Budgam-Bemina Road
Directs for completion of Dewatering Station within the timeline
BUDGAM, January 05: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, S F Hamid today undertook a detailed visit of Bemina locality.
The tour apart from having a public interaction session was also aimed to have an on spot appraisal of works presently going on in the area particularly the construction of Drainage system from DharKhul to GariKadal in Bemina area.
The DDC during the inspection was apprised by the concerned that the construction of Drainage is going on a road length of 1.75 Km with an allotted cost of 11.50 Crores. He was apprised that the pipeline is completed and the road is partially restored.
The scheme will have the capacity and capability to absorb and discharge all floods and other drainage water that causes inconveniences to the locals, pedestrians, traffic movement and also during rain or snowfall.
Later, the DDC was also apprised of other grievances and demands that need to be addressed at an earliest.
The DDC directed concerned officers for completion of Dewatering station within the time line so that there is relief to the public. He directed officers for rectification/restoration of Budgam-Bemina road at an earliest.
DDC said that drainage and master plan shall work together for rectification of pipe leakages so that there is no severe water logging during winter season.
During the visit, the DDC was accompanied by Executive R&B Mohammad Ashraf and Executive Engineer Drainage system Bashir Ahmad besides other sectoral officers.
