DDC Chairman chairs Council meeting in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 6: District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Udhampur, Lal Chand, today presided over a crucial meeting of the members here in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The meeting, attended by District Development Council members and district officers, focused on evaluation of different developmental initiatives.
Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, who is also the CEO of DDC Council, Chief Planning Officer Mohd Iqbal, PO Poshan Subash Dogra, GM DIC Kishore Singh, ACP Tanveer Wani, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
The DDC Chairperson exhorted the officers to work with dedication to achieve set targets for the current financial year. He underscored the importance of close monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure quality and adherence to timelines. The Chairperson directed concerned officers to expedite ongoing works, ensuring their timely completion, and emphasized the importance of regular monitoring.
The DDC Chairperson also addressed concerns raised by council members, including issues related to the quality of work, early completion of pending projects, shifting of red-category industrial units, establishment of parking space in Patnitop, development of an Eco Tourism hub, blacktopping of various roads, pending wages payment under MGNREGA, installation of solar lights, distribution of land pass books, improvement of work quality, providing bus services to students of GDC Ramnagar, staff shortages in government schools, and maintenance of various roads.
He urged all departments to collaborate and remove encumbrances hindering developmental works, ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner. The DDC Chairperson commitment to accelerating ongoing works and his emphasis on regular monitoring reflect a dedicated approach toward achieving developmental goals.
