DDC Chairperson distributes motorised tricycles among specially-abled persons at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, August 05: District Development Council Chairman Udhampur, Lal Chand distributed 10 motorised tricycles among specially-abled persons here at DC Office complex under District Disability Rehabilitation Centres (DDRC) scheme.

The DDC chairman interacted with specially-abled persons and said that the government is extending special care and assistance to persons with special abilities and district administration is fully committed to fulfill the needs of every section of Society.

DDC chairman was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Jasrotia; BDC Chairman Udhampur, Balwan Singh, DDC member, Puran Chand, PO Mission Poshan, Subhash, District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta and District Information Officer, Rajinder Digra.

While speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the motive behind the distribution of these tricycles is to empower the specially-abled persons. He also asked the beneficiaries to avail benefits entailed under various self-employment schemes of Government for their livelihood.

Earlier DDC Chairman handed over engagement orders of Sahayikas and Sanginis besides candidates in presence of ADC Udhampur, PO Mission Udhampur and CDPO.
