DDC Chairperson Kulgam inspects Mechanical Division to assess snow clearance preparation

KULGAM, JANUARY 05: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson of Kulgam Mohammad Afzal Parray, conducted an inspection of the Mechanical Division of Kulgam to assess the operational readiness for snow clearance ahead of forecasted snowfall & timely restoration of road connectivity.

On the occasion, he was briefed regarding the deployment strategies and maintenance schedules to ensure smooth operations during snow emergencies.

Meanwhile, he issued clear instructions to ensure that all snow clearance machines remain operational and ready for immediate deployment.

It was given that 24×7 control room has already been established in the district to facilitate timely operations and address public concerns.

He emphasized the importance of coordination with other departments to prioritize critical routes, including highways, hospitals, religious places and educational institutions.

Officials from the Mechanical Division assured the Chairperson of their commitment to minimizing disruptions, maintaining public safety, and ensuring the continuity of essential services during winter.
