DDC Chairperson Ramban launched construction of Ramakunda to Gool road
RAMBAN, May 04: Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan, today kick-started the construction work of 4.475 km road from Ramakunda to Gool phase 1st under NABARD. The road project has been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 1.38 crore.
BDC Chairperson, Shakala Begum; DDC Member Gool, Sakhi Mohd, Sarpanch Ind, Mumtaz Begum; AEE PWD Vimal Kirshan; JE Tariq Ahmed, PRIs prominent citizens, locals were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said that with the completion of the road project a long pending demand of the area would fulfilled. The completion of the road would provide transport connectivity to the area thus benefiting a huge number of people, she added.
She said that the government is committed to meet the genuine demands of the people and the PRIs should bring public demands and issues in notice of the administration for timely redressal.
While interacting with the people, the Chairperson informed about the initiatives taken by the District Development Council and line departments especially for the development of the rural and far-flung areas of the district.
After listening to issues and demands highlighted by the locals, the Chairperson directed the concerned officers to resolve all genuine issues especially pertaining to the basic amenities.
