DDC Chairperson Ramban launches road construction work in Gool
RAMBAN, June 27: Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today launched road construction work here in Gool.
The 3 km road from Government High School Chachwa to Jamia Masjid Gool Seripura Ramakunda is being constructed under NABARD Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 3.37 crore.
PRI members, prominent citizens and locals were present at the launch ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said that a long pending demand of the area has been fulfilled with the start of the road project as it would benefit a huge number of people by providing transport connectivity to the area.
“Road Connectivity is a basic requirement for the development of an area and the government is committed to meet this requirement” she added. She urged the PRIs to bring public demands in the notice of the government for timely fulfillment.
While interacting with the people, the Chairperson informed about the initiatives taken by the District Development Council and government departments, especially for the development of the rural and far-flung areas of the district.
After listening to issues and demands highlighted by the locals, the Chairperson assured them that their genuine issues shall be taken up with the higher authorities for quality redressal.
