DDC Doda chairs BOCA meeting
7 building permissions granted; BDA authorized to decide on Renovation cases
DODA, August 11: District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan today chaired a meeting of Building Operation Controlling Authority (BOCA) to discuss the applications seeking permission for construction of residential and commercial buildings, besides repair and renovation of existing structures in the jurisdiction of Bhadarwah Development Authority (BDA), as per the Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
In all 31 submitted cases were discussed in detail. Seventeen pleas seeking permission for repair and renovation were deliberated, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), was authorised to take final call and proceed further observing all the codal formalities.
Regarding 10 (Ten) residential cases, 7 (Seven) were approved subject to the re-verification by the CEO, BDA and his satisfaction on the observance of all the required formalities by the applicants as per the norms. Another three (3) Residential and all four (4) commercial cases were rejected after observing some discrepancies in the NOCs/ other documents and contradiction of existing guidelines, in the submitted claims, required for approval of cases by BOCA.
The DC directed CEO Bhadarwah Development Authority to convene regular meetings of BOCA to decide the applications of the citizens in a time bound manner. CEO, BDA was further asked to re-verify the documents and inspect and take geotaged photographs of the locations from where claims have been received and take cognizance of any false communication/ wrong information by the applicant.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer BDA, Navdeep Wazir, ACR Doda Sanjeev Kumar, SE PWD RP Singh, Town Planner, Udhampur and other concerned officials.
