DDC Doda launches Door-to-Door Waste Collection Drive in Bhaderwah
DODA, July 08: In a significant move towards cleanliness and sanitation, the District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan along with Senior Superintendent of Police, Abdul Qayoom, on Saturday launched a door-to-door waste collection drive in Bhaderwah, under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) and Mission ODF Plus 2023.
The aim of this campaign is to mobilize stakeholders towards safe disposal of waste and maintain a hygienic environment in the Bhaderwah Block.
To mark the launch of the campaign, the Deputy Commissioner flagged off two dedicated vehicles that will collect waste directly from households. The initiative received great support from the PRIs and Public.
Among others present on the occasion included ADC Bhaderwah Choudhary Dil Mir, ASP Bhaderwah, ACD Doda, BDO Bhaderwah, EO MC Bhaderwah, and other concerned members of the civil administration.
In his address, the DC highlighted the importance of cleanliness and waste management for a healthy and hygienic society. He urged residents to actively participate in the campaign and contribute towards the overall development and cleanliness of the region.
To ensure the success of the campaign, the campaign will be conducted in collaboration with government departments, local NGOs and community-based organizations.
Regular awareness programs and cleanliness drives will be organized to educate the community about the significance of waste management and its positive impact on public health.
