DDC Kathua reviews District Capex Budget 2023-24

Calls for time bound tendering, completion of developmental works  

KATHUA, MAY 26:  District Development Commissioner, Kathua Rakesh Minhas chaired a meeting of District and Sectoral officers of different developmental departments at conference hall of DC office complex today.

At the outset, the DDC enjoined upon heads of departments to float tenders of all works approved under current year Capex latest by 10th June 2023 so as to rule out any inordinate delay in completing works within set timelines.

While discussing the road map for achieving 100% Capex targets, DDC exhorted all the line departments to work with focused attention to better the previous year’s achievements.

It was stated in the meeting that 2834 works shall be completed under current year Capex for which 50% funds have been released  so far .

The DDC further instructed the executing agencies to rope in Block Development Officers in obtaining Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) during the tendering process. This will ensure that the BDOs are also kept informed about the projects being put up for tender.

Terming the role of all the departments more important, the DDC said that all development projects taken up under CAPEX need concerted efforts from the concerned departments and special attention to pay at ground level by way of timely completion of target works.

ADC Kathua, Deepkia Rana, CPO Kathua Uttam Singh, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti, Irrigation, CMO, CEO and other concerned officers were also present at the meeting.
