DDC Kishtwar inaugurates 10-day training programme for youth

KISHTWAR, March 25: District Development Commissioner and Chairman of the District Skill Committee, Devansh Yadav, inaugurated a 10-day training programme for 32 youth of the district today. The programme, called “Travel & Tourist Guide”, is being held at the State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI) in Kishtwar.

The DDC briefed the participants on the purpose of the training, which is to create a pool of skilled manpower in remote areas of the district. He informed them that there are many opportunities for self-employment in the tourism industry in Kishtwar. The training will provide a platform for youth to become tourist guides and work in the hospitality industry.

Yadav encouraged participants to use this opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge about the various trainings offered at SBI RSETI. He said that this training programme is part of the District Administration’s plan to redesign self-employment opportunities in the district through the District Skill Committee.

LDM Kishtwar, Pankaj Bhadani; Guest Faculty, Dheeraj Kumar and representatives from SBI RSETI were also present at the event.
