DDC Kulgam reviews status of RDD work projects
Instructs Officers to accelerate pace of works & ensure their timely completion
KULGAM, JULY 02: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today convened a meeting of officers at the mini-secretariat here to review the status of works under the execution of the Rural Development Department (RDD).
During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed review of progress achieved under various programs and initiatives in RDD.
It was informed that under MGNREGA, 3119 estimates were technically sanctioned and 1260 works were taken up. Additionally, 105,471 person-days (PDS) were generated till date.
Reviewing the progress under PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) units, the chair was informed that 148 units were completed during the month of June 2024.
The DDC directed Officers to ensure the completion of all PMAY units promptly. He emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of work to meet annual targets and ensure timely payment of wages.
He also reviewed the progress in solid waste management, door-to-door waste collection in Panchayats and construction and completion status of community soakage pits, and community compost pits.
The DDC stressed on the importance of maximum onsite work inspections to ensure quality of works.
He directed Officers to scale up the execution of all works and ensure time-bound completion without compromising quality.
The meeting was attended by JD-P Zahid Sajad, ACD Syed Naseer, ACP Nazia Hassan, Exen REW Manzoor Ahmad, BDOs, AEEs, and other officers.
