DDC Rajouri discusses MGNREGA convergence plan for FY 2024-25

RAJOURI, JULY 23: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a meeting to discuss the MGNREGA convergence plan for the financial year 2024-25.


During the meeting, the DDC emphasized the importance of a well-planned convergence strategy, highlighting the need for departments to work in coordination. He stressed that a coordinated approach would ensure the formulation of an effective plan that addresses the specific needs of the district.


The DDC directed the departments to focus on key areas, including creation of durable assets that benefit the rural community in consonance with priorities of the district and development goals, optimal utilization of resources and ensuring accountability in the implementation. He also said that timely formulation and proper implementation of the convergence plan on the ground will facilitate the creation of durable assets and provide work to the rural labour. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination among the departments to achieve the desired outcomes.


The meeting was attended by the GM DIC, Fareed Kohli; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan;CPO, Maqsood Ahmed; AD FCS&CA, Rohit Kumar; EXEN I&FC Rajouri, Asrar Khan; EXEN I& FC Nowshera, Sunil Seth and Block Development Officers.
