DDC Rajouri inspects developmental works in Kalakote
RAJOURI, MAY 15: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat, conducted a comprehensive tour of the Kalakote subdivision today and inspected ongoing developmental projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services in the region.
During the tour, the DDC visited several important work sites executed under the Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM), Capex, MGNREGA including segregation sheds, community compost pits and community soakage pits. These projects are pivotal in promoting sustainable waste management practices and improving sanitation standards in the region.
He also inspected the progress on the road connecting Manma Mata Temple in the Khargala area. This road is crucial for ensuring better connectivity and accessibility for pilgrims and locals.
DDC directed the concerned officer to expedite the construction work to facilitate early completion of the project.
At the Sub District Hospital Kalakote, the DDC conducted a thorough inspection of wards, interacted with the hospital staff and patients. He emphasized the importance of providing the best possible Medicare services to the patients.
Furthermore, the DDC inspected the ongoing construction of the Government Degree College building in Kalakote.
Later, the DDC reviewed the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in the Municipality of Kalakote. He instructed the Executive Officer (EO) of the Municipal Committee (MC) Kalakote to ensure efficient management of solid and liquid waste, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability in the town.
The DDC was accompanied by ADC Kalakote, Mohammad Tanveer; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; EXEN PWD (R&B) Kalakote and EO MC Kalakote.
