DDC Reasi chairs DLRC meeting, seeks effective implementation of employment schemes
REASI, OCTOBER 10: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to discuss the achievements of the banking sector under district credit schemes.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasised that the bankers should open Extension centers at far and remotest places like Thakrakote , Mahore etc to increase banking penetration and also organise maximum camps there in coordination with Government departments to increase financial inclusion.
DDC held discussion on various agendas like Flow of credit to priority sector, key indicators of bank, achievements.
He highlighted that special emphasis should be given on two sectors housing loans under the PMAY scheme and Renewable energy and also to increase priority sector lending.
DDC directed all the banks to take effective measures for encouraging small lending especially in Agriculture, Education and employment sectors so that the majority of the population was benefited under various schemes. He directed the agriculture authorities and bankers to jointly ensure proper implementation of Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for providing financial security to farmers.
The meeting was attended by GM DIC Mohd Anwar Banday, CPO Narinder Kumar, Lead District Manager GM Wani, J&K bank Cluster Head, AD Handicraft Ujwal Sambyal, AD employment Annie Vaid ,CAO, CHO and others.
