DDC Samba inaugurates Level 3 Functionaries Workshop
SAMBA, MARCH 11: District Development Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma spearheaded the inauguration of a significant Level 3 functionaries workshop today. The event, held in the Conference Hall of the DC office Samba, marked a pivotal moment in the enhancement of rural water supply management within the district.
Attended by key stakeholders, the inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Additional District Development Commissioner Samba, Rajinder Singh, Additional DC Samba, Suresh Sharma, SE Hyd Jammu, Bodh Raj Bhagat and Ajay Mahapatra representing WE THE PEOPLE from KRC, DPMU Samba, Executive Engineer PHE , other district officers, AEEs and SH Groups and Pani Samiti members. The gathering also included representatives from various department heads, Self-Help Groups (SHG), and most notably, Pani Samiti members from diverse villages across Samba.
This workshop, organized in collaboration with the State Water and Sanitation Mission, focused on empowering local communities in the operation and maintenance of rural water supply schemes facilitated by Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs). Over the course of four days, participants will engage in comprehensive training sessions aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the effective and sustainable management of water resources in their respective villages.
The workshop underscores the commitment of the District Administration to promote community-led initiatives for water and sanitation management, fostering self-reliance and grassroots empowerment. By engaging with Pani Samiti members and other stakeholders, the administration aims to bolster the resilience of rural water supply systems, ultimately improving the quality of life for residents across Samba district.
