“Dealers, dalals and damads used to rule Haryana”: Home Minister Amit Shah
Rewari (Haryana) [India], September 27 (ANI): Lauding the BJP’s efforts in Haryana, Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday highlighted key initiatives undertaken by the Government including the purchase of 24 crops at the minimum support price (MSP) and the implementation of One Rank-One Pension among others.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the BJP’s achievements since Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his election campaign in 2014.
Addressing a gathering in Rewari, Shah emphasized the fulfillment of the long-standing demand for One Rank-One Pension (OROP), stating, “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started his election campaign in 2014 from Haryana and promised to fulfill the demand of One Rank-One Pension being raised by our army personnel for the last 40 years. For 40 years, Congress could not implement One Rank-One Pension, you gave Modi ji an opportunity to serve and Modi ji implemented One Rank-One Pension. A month ago, the third version of One Rank-One Pension has also been implemented”.
Shah continued to criticize the previous Congress government in Haryana, claiming it was marked by “cuts, commission, and corruption.”
“The rule of dealers, dalals (brokers) and damads (sons-in-law) prevailed. Neither dealers nor brokers are left in the BJP government, there is no question of son-in-law,” Shah said.
In his remarks directed at Rahul Gandhi, Shah accused the Congress leader of misleading farmers about the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
“Some NGO has recently told Rahul Gandhi that he will get votes by saying MSP. Rahul Baba, do you know the full form of MSP? Do you know which are the Kharif and Rabi crops? Congress governments running across the country, stop lying to the farmers in the name of MSP. The BJP government of Haryana is buying 24 crops from farmers at MSP. Congress leaders in Haryana should tell us once which government of yours in the country bought 24 crops at MSP?” Shah added.
The Home Minister also took aim at Rahul Gandhi’s comments made abroad regarding reservations for ST-SC-OBC communities.
“Rahul Baba goes abroad and says that we will end the reservation of ST-SC-OBC communities. They used to accuse us of ending reservation and went to America and said in English that we will end reservation. Rahul Baba, how will you end it, the government is ours and I tell you that as long as there is even one BJP MP in the Parliament, you cannot end the reservation,” Shah said.
