Debate competition on ‘Drug Abuse Awareness’ organised at Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for women Jammu
JAMMU, June 20: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan club of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu today organised a Debate Competition On Drug Abuse Awareness.
The event aimed to make the students aware and about the pressing issue of drug abuse.
With a strong emphasis on fostering awareness and prevention, this event served as a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and critical thinking skills.
Addressing the alarming rise of drug abuse cases in our society, the competition witnessed passionate discussions and thought-provoking arguments. Participants delved into topics such as the root causes of drug abuse and their impact on the society. The speakers emphasized the collective responsibility of society to address drug abuse effectively and highlighted the importance of comprehensive prevention programs.
The event successfully promoted critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork among the participants, as they navigated the complex dimensions of drug abuse.
The panel of esteemed judges, consisting of Prof Mamta Gupta (HOD & DEAN COMMERCE), Prof. Rajni Dogra (HOD Economics) and Prof. Anupama Sharma (PO NSS UNIT 2) meticulously evaluated the performances of each team. Their expertise and impartiality ensured a fair evaluation process. The top-performing teams were awarded prizes, recognizing their exceptional debating skills and the effectiveness of their arguments.
