Decades of injustice by Congress ended by Modi government: Dr Narinder Raina
Modi government gave domicile, voting, and now land ownership rights on government land to the WPRs and 1965 displaced persons at par with the 1947 and 71 displaced persons, said Dr. Narinder Singh Raina and added that these communities suffered decades of grave injustice at the hands of the Congress party. Congress, along with NC, and PDP endlessly denied them the basic rights of democracy. This injustice has now ended under the strong decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union government.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh Raina accompanied by Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, senior leader Manmohan Singh (WPR leader), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Co-Incharge Er TK Sharma (PoJK leader) was addressing a Press Conference at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
While addressing the media persons, Dr. Narinder Singh said that the victim population from West Pakistan became refugees in Jammu & Kashmir in 1947 during partition. They were deprived of the important rights of state like to vote or contest in assembly or panchayat or local bodies; to purchase land, their children could not take admission in professional colleges. Prime Minister Narendra Modi abrogated the temporary Article 370 and 35(a) on 05 August 2019 and gave voting and domicile rights to the WPRs, after which the wards of WPRs could take admission in the professional colleges and also the government jobs.
After the welcome decision of 05 August 2019, which gave rights to the neglected and the oppressed communities, now, under the supervision of PM Modi, the LG Manoj Sinha led UT administrative council took the historic decision to provide land ownership rights on the government lands to the WPRs. BJP expresses gratitude to the PM Modi, LG Manoj Sinha, and Administrative Council for doing away with the injustice that prevailed for over 75 years.
With the recent decision of granting ownership rights to the WPRs, all the categories of the refugees have been delivered justice, which is a big victory for them. Now, under the Modi government, since 2019, the 10,065 migrated families from Chamb (PoJK) in 65 & 71 war with Pakistan, WPRs and DPs of 1947 from PoJK have received the land ownership rights on government land at par.
Majority of WPRs belong to the oppressed communities, which received their rights under the Modi government. It is a gift from the Modi government to the WPRs, who had been agitating for decades together for even basic rights.
Valmiki, Gorkha and other communities received the rights under the Modi government. He said that the ‘Abadi Deh’ Basties has been regularized. Now these all communities will be able to receive the benefits of public welfare schemes and polices like Kissan Samman Nidhi, PMAY etc. He insisted that all these benefits could be given to the communities after the abrogation of temporary article 370 and 35(a) and the injustice to all these communities was done on the behalf of Congress party.
