DE&CC Ganderbal organises Employment fair; over 500 Jobseekers attended fair

GANDERBAL, February 25: A Job/ Employment Fair was today organized by District Employment & Counseling Centre (DE&CC), Ganderbal at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Duderhama, here.

The purpose of the fair was to explore the Career opportunities within the district having various companies on board at one platform.

In the fair 13 reputed National/ Domestic companies participated viz. LIC India, SBI Life, ARO Srinagar, Wizkid, RSETI Ganderbal, Natural Life Care Centre, Kids Cottage Education Institute, Wussan Jamkash Vehicleades, Tata Motors etc.

About 530 jobseekers attended the Fair out of which 16 candidates were selected on spot including 04 specially abled aspirants by the Companies, 228 candidates were shortlisted for further process of selection and 67 candidates were registered for training (skilling) by RSETI, Ganderbal, National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled Persons and Wizkid.

There was an overwhelming response from the job seekers and almost 120 candidates were registered on the Employment Portal (integrated to National Career Service (NCS) Portal.

The Job seekers expressed satisfaction after having interaction with various companies and wished for the same kind of job fairs in the district in near future.

The Job fair was attended by the Tehsildar, Ganderbal and Director ARO (Army), Ganderbal/ Srinagar.
