DECC organises awareness cum Counselling sessions at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, May 13: District Employment & Counselling Centre Udhampur today organized a one-day Awareness cum Counselling session at Government Polytechnic College Udhampur  which was attended by more than 86 students.

Anshuman Singh, Deputy Director Employment Udhampur, accompanied by Rajesh Kotwal (Nodal officer) JKEDI Udhampur &  Mudasir Yousaf (Y.P) acquainted the students about the self-employment schemes & registration process on Jakemp.nic.in & NCS Portal.  The participants were also informed regarding upcoming Job fairs/ Mission Youth Schemes, Self-Employment Schemes of the Employment department and self-employment schemes run by the other departments i.e PMEGP/Handicraft/Handloom/Fisheries/Agriculture/Horticulture/AnimalHusbandry/Sericulture/co-operative/NRLM etc, alongwith solar power generation/mud house/chuna house technologies/water conservation techniques/medicinal plants etc was also done.

They also impressed upon the importance of skill development among students for future prospects & urged them to avail opportunity of the scheduled programmes and reap the benefits of the different self-employment schemes.
