DE&CC Pulwama conducts Job Fair at Pulwama

PULWAMA March 29: To facilitate employment opportunities for unemployed youth and to provide a platform of job opportunities in private sector, a day  Long Job fair was organised today by District Employment & Counselling Centre, Pulwama  for jobseekers from the District which saw participation from reputed private employers from insurance  sector.

Companies like LIC India, ICICI Lombard, Accure India insurance, PNB MetLife , V5 participated with more than 100 vacancies, participated in the event.

On the occasion Assistant Director Employment,  Hafsa Qayoom interacted with the Jobseekers and Job Providers and impressed on the Employers and Job seekers to register on the Employment Portal of Govt. Of Jammu & Kashmir www.jakemp.nic.in

The event witnessed good response from job seekers. More than 200 unemployed youth/jobseekers from the District participated in the event.

149 Job Seekers with varied skills were shortlisted by the companies for different jobs. Moreover 63 candidates registered themselves on the Employment Portal i.e., www.jakemp.nic.in on the spot.

The unemployed youth from District Pulwama expressed their gratitude to District Employment and Counseling Centre, Pulwama for organizing this job fair and bringing employers to their doorsteps.
