Degree College for Women, Kathua organized one day lecture on “Educational Awareness

Kathua- The Career Counselling and Placement Cell in collaboration with IQAC, Govt. Degree College for Women, Kathua organized one day lecture on “Educational Awareness about Competitive Examinations” on 13th of October 2023 under the valuable guidance of worthy Principal Dr. Savi Behl. Mr. M.D. Sharma,Managing Director, Vision Academy Kathua and Mr. Ashutosh were the resource person for the lecture.The function began with the welcome address by Ms. Romika Basin, convener   Career Counseling and Placement Cell GDCW, Kathua. In her welcome address she outlined the purpose of the programme.

The lecture was focusing on the awareness of the students of the college regarding the preparation of several competitive examinations such as UPSC/JKAS, SSC, Banking and JKSSB.  The proceeding of the seminar included valuable insights, guidance, motivational and career- oriented information to the students, by the resource persons of Vision Academy Kathua. Mr. M. D. Sharma very impressively shared his experiences with the students and motivated them to prepare for the competitive examinations, without thinking that such examinations are meant for a particular subject or stream. Next resource person Mr. Ashutosh explained how proper guidance, consistent and motivation helps the students to achieve their goals. The speakers further motivated the college students about the significance of clearing such examinations and attaining a respectable position in the society and helping in women empowerment.

 Eighty students from all the streams and semesters participated in the seminar.  The occasion was also graced by the presence of other faculty members, Ms. Ravinder Kour, Ms. Usha Devi, Mr. Barun Bhatti, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Ms. Anu Radha, Dr. Vaishno Devi and Dr. Rajni Khajuria. The program ended with the vote of thanks  by Ms. Pallavi.
