Delhi-based jeweller gets extortion demand of Rs 5 lakh

New Delhi [India], August 31 (ANI): A jeweller from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area recently filed a complaint with the Delhi police after receiving an extortion demand for Rs 5 lakh.

According to the police, the jeweller from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk’s Kucha Mahajani area received threatening messages on WhatsApp on Tuesday (August 30) at 1:30 pm from a man claiming to be gangster Aman Sahu.

The police further stated that the caller threatened the jeweller with death and harm to his family members if the extortion money was not paid.

Currently, a complaint has been filed by the jeweller at the Kotwali police station, however, an FIR is yet to be registered, according to an official.
