DEO Bandipora reviews Election preparedness
Directs to adhere strictly to the established procedures & guidelines of ECI in performing Election related duties
BANDIPORA, AUGUST 29: The District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri today conducted a comprehensive review of election preparedness in a meeting held at mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The DEO meticulously reviewed the progress made by Returning Officers (ROs) and nodal officers in preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in the district.
During the meeting, RO 15-Bandipora provided a detailed update on the preparations within the 15-Bandipora Assembly Constituency. Meanwhile, RO 14-Sonawari/SDM Sumbal and RO 16-Gurez outlined the measures taken in their respective constituencies to ensure smooth polling operations.
It was revealed during the meeting that all arrangements are in place for conducting elections smoothly in the district including establishment of special and unique polling stations throughout the district.
Discussions also covered the logistics, including route plans for polling parties and other necessary arrangements.
Furthermore, the DEO reviewed the status of election training programmes, home voting initiative, and the activities of Booth Level Awareness groups.
He stressed the need for thorough training of all concerned officials ensuring that every staff member is well-versed in their election related duties.
The nodal officer AMF was instructed to ensure that all polling stations are equipped with assured minimum facilities well in advance.
The DEO asked the nodal officers to address any potential challenges proactively and ensure a well-organized electoral process.
He asked the ROs and Nodal Officers to adhere strictly to the established procedures and guidelines of ECI in performing Election related duties.
The meeting was attended by ADC/Nodal Officer MCC Zaffar Husson Shawal, Deputy DEO Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, RO 15-Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, Election Nodal Officers and other concerned.
Earlier, the DEO visited the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) established at Mini Secretariat to review its operations, and ensure readiness for the assembly elections.
He examined the MCMC’s processes for certifying media content and monitoring media coverage to ensure compliance with election regulations.
