DEO Flags off Polling Parties, EVMs to 534 polling stations across 3 ACs of Doda District
DODA, SEPTEMBER 17: District Election Officer Harvinder Singh on Tuesday flagged off polling parties and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to 534 polling stations across 3 Assembly Constituencies of District Doda – which is going to polls tomorrow.
The polling teams were dispatched early this morning here from the District Treasury Office and Govt. Degree College to their respective polling stations across the district. RO AC-51 Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar; RO AC 52 Doda Sunil Bhutyal; RO AC 53-Doda west were also present.
More than 3,000 employees have been deployed to ensure the smooth conduct of the election. The teams are expected to reach their respective polling stations by 5:00 PM today. The district, home to over 3 lakh registered voters, has made comprehensive arrangements to facilitate the voting process. To ensure the security and integrity of EVMs, 12 intermediate strong rooms have been established in the district.
District Election Officer Harvinder Singh emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensure a fair and transparent election process. He highlighted the comprehensive measures taken to ensure that voting is conducted peacefully and smoothly, reflecting the spirit of democracy in Doda.
