DEO Ganderbal reviews AMF Status of Polling Stations, SVEEP activities
GANDERBAL, MARCH 30: In a significant step towards ensuring smooth conduct of the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Ganderbal district, a meeting was convened today by District Election Officer (DEO) Ganderbal, Shyambir here in the V.C Room of DC Office.
The meeting held detailed discussion on various points including AMF Status, SVEEP, Dispatch and Receipt Plan of Polling Parties on Poll Day and logistics.
The status of Assured Minimum Facilities at each polling station was meticulously reviewed which include facilities such as drinking water, electricity, ramps for persons with disabilities, and sanitation arrangements. Any gaps or deficiencies were identified, and corrective measures were discussed.
The DEO assessed the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiatives and discussed ongoing SVEEP activities, evaluated their impact, and planned additional awareness campaigns leading up to election day.
The logistics for polling day were meticulously examined including the deployment of polling parties to their respective polling stations, ensuring timely receipt of election materials, and coordination with security personnel.
The DEO emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and seamless execution to uphold the integrity of the electoral process. He stressed upon strict adherence to the guidelines of ECI and urged all stakeholders to work collaboratively and ensure that every voter’s right to participate in the democratic process is safeguarded.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders involved in election preparations, including Deputy District Election Officer Ganderbal, Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Tehsildars, Nodal Officer for Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), and Nodal Officer for Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
