DEO Leh Santosh Sukhadeve convenes meeting regarding General Lok Sabha Election 2024

LEH, March 28: The District Election Officer/ Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting with all the political parties regarding the forthcoming General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024 in the VC hall, DC office on March 28.

Additionally, he emphasized on conducting free and fair elections. He also laid emphasis on the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee to oversee all political advertisements in relation to the candidates. He further informed that the MCC violations need to be reported promptly to keep a close watch if the provided guidelines is being followed by the political parties and leaders.

During the meeting, he also devised several measures to increase the low voter turnout in Leh which includes spreading awareness through social media and other sources.

Besides, DC Leh instructed the political parties to create awareness on their level among the voters to maximize voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
