DEO Poonch inspects Assured Minimum Facilities in Polling Stations ahead of Elections

POONCH, SEPTEMBER 22: District Election Officer (DEO) Poonch, Vikas Kundal conducted a thorough inspection of several polling stations, including those at High School Bandi Chechian, Shah Pur, Islamabad, and various locations in the interior villages, to assess preparations for the Assembly elections scheduled on September 25.


During the visit, DEO Kundal reviewed critical aspects essential for a smooth electoral process. He assessed the installation of CCTV cameras to enhance security and monitoring at the polling stations.


Additionally, he evaluated the adequacy of water and power supply to ensure that voters have access to essential services on Election Day.


Kundal placed particular emphasis on the importance of ramps and other accessibility features, striving to create a voter-friendly atmosphere for individuals with disabilities.

He noted the significant efforts made to ensure that all polling stations are equipped with the necessary facilities to support a seamless voting experience.


Kundal highlighted the necessity of creating an inviting environment for voters, stating that a well-prepared polling station not only facilitates the voting process but also bolsters public confidence in the electoral system.
