DEO Rajouri conducts inspection of polling stations in border areas of Doongi, Qila Darhal

RAJOURI, MARCH 25:  District Election Officer (DEO), Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today undertook a comprehensive visit of polling stations in border areas of Qila Darhal and Doongi to assess and review the status of assured minimum facilities in view of upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The DEO meticulously inspected the polling stations, one located at Girls Middle School Rajpura at Qila Darhal where total voters are 1324 including 714 males and 606 female voters and another polling station at MS, Pind Narian where total voters are 794 including 413 male voters and 381 female voters.

During the visit, the DEO had  detailed assessment of various essential facilities for the smooth conduct of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in these border areas.

He engaged with the stakeholders to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place to facilitate smooth and efficient voting process. He also took provision of basic amenities like electricity, water supply, sanitation facilities, and accessibility for differently-abled voters  at the polling stations.

Interacting with different stakeholders, DEO underscored the importance of ensuring that all polling stations adhere to prescribed standards as per ECI guidelines, to uphold the integrity and fairness of the electoral process. He reiterated the unwavering commitment of administration for facilitating free, fair, and transparent elections, wherein every eligible citizen can exercise their democratic right with confidence and ease.
