DEO Ramban reviews election arrangements in AC-55 Banihal

RAMBAN, AUGUST 22: District Election Officer (DEO) Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, conducted an extensive visit to Assembly Constituency (AC)-55 Banihal to review the security and other critical arrangements in preparation for the General Election Legislative Assembly (GELA) 2024. The visit was aimed at ensuring a smooth, free, fair, transparent, and secure election process.


The DEO was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Kulbir Singh, Returning Officer AC-55 Banihal, Rizwan Asgar, and other concerned officers.


During the visit, the DEO inspected the arrangements at the Strong Room established at Government Model Higher Secondary School (Boys), Banihal. He directed the officers to ensure the proper implementation of Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines to facilitate a seamless election process.


In addition to inspecting the Strong Room, DEO Chaudhary also visited the office of the Returning Officer for AC-55 Banihal. He emphasized the importance of adhering to all existing rules, regulations, and protocols to provide a level playing field for all candidates.


The DEO also inspected various locations related to security and other arrangements, issuing necessary directions to ensure foolproof measures are in place for the smooth conduct of the elections.
