Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museum, UT Ladakh, celebrates World Heritage Week

Leh, November 20, 2024: The Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museum, UT Ladakh, celebrated World Heritage Week from November 19-25, 2024. To commemorate this occasion, students from the University of Ladakh’s Department of History visited the Archives Repository Leh.

Sh. Khadim Hussain, Registering Officer Antiquities, briefed the students on accessing and managing archival records, highlighting the importance of preserving and conserving document heritage. Jigmet Angmo, Coordinator of IGNCA, also stressed the significance of record preservation and conservation.
