Department of Blood Transfusion GMC Rajouri organises donation camp  

RAJOURI, June 14: A blood donation camp was today organised with the theme; Give Blood, Give Plasma, Share life and share often on the occasion of World Blood Donors Day by the department of Blood transfusion GMC & AH Rajouri.

Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal was the chief guest. Among the others present were SSP  Amrit Pal Singh; ADC, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; Principal GMC, Dr Amar Jeet Singh; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; CMO, Dr Rajinder Sharma; MS DH, Dr Mehmood and  volunteer blood donors.

The DC highlighted the need for voluntary blood donation and said that a thalassemic society has been constituted in the district to help thalassemic patients who need blood transfusions regularly.

In addition to this, the concerned officers have also been directed to start the component facilities in the blood bank at District Hospital. This move will help in improving the blood transfusion services in the region. The DC Rajouri also felicitated the blood donors. SSP Rajouri and Principal GMC highlighted the importance of Blood Donation.
