Department of Computer Science and IT, JU conducts placement drive

JAMMU, Jan 11: M/s Solitaire Infosys Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, Chandigarh conducted a pool placement drive at PG Department of Computer Science and IT, University of Jammu, Jammu for the students of MCA and M.Tech of the main campus along with Bhaderwah, Kathua and Ramnagar offsite Campues. Solitaire Infosys is an IT company providing services in UX and UI design, android development, web development, enterprise and digital marketing besides consulting services provider that partners with organizations to achieve business and digital transformation. 

Prof. Pawanesh Abrol, Head, Department of Computer Science and IT, University of Jammu welcomed the officials from Solitaire Infosys, Mohali and apprised the audience about the different activities conducted for the students of computer science in recent times. Prof. Abrol highlighted various initiatives like regular syllabi revisions and updations, MoU, organising FDPs and interactive sessions on various latest topics for strengthening industry-academia relationships.   

Mr. Gourav Kapoor, DGM, Corporate Affairs, M/s Solitaire Infosys Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, Mr. Mani Sharma, Senior Software Developer and Mr. Sahil Prashar, Junior Developer interacted with the students and conducted the placement drive. A total of forty students were shortlisted for the technical and HR round which will be conducted at Mohali. The selection process included a written test and a technical interview. The selected students will join with the final annual package of Rs 4-6 lakhs approx.

Dr. Shubhnadan S. Jamwal, the departmental coordinator arranged all the logistics for the conduct of the placement drive. Prof. Vinod Sharma, Prof. Lalit Sen Sharma, Mr. Jasbir Singh, Dr. Suresh Rao and Ms Palak Mahajan were among the prominent members present on the occasion.
