KATHUA, October 10: The Department of Social Welfare Kathua marked the International Day of the Girl Child by distributing 12 Baby Care Kits to newly born baby girls at the Obstetrics & Gynecology Ward of Government Medical College Kathua. This initiative supports the theme “Girls’ Vision for the Future,” highlighting the significance of empowering girls for their healthy development.

The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign is vital for advocating the rights and well-being of girls in India. Such initiatives not only meet the immediate needs of families but also drive long-term societal change by fostering respect and equality for girls. Ensuring every girl has the opportunity to thrive is crucial for building a brighter future for our nation.
Through these programs, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an environment where girls can envision and achieve their dreams, paving the way for a society that values and empowers every girl.
